A while back I drained the from diff and was surprised to find it was full of green sludge. I did a full knuckle job on it to fix the axle grease leaking into it. I have had a slight ongoing pinion seal leak so I decided to replace it. Of course it cant be that simple. This is what was behind the seal. The broken in half piece is my concern. It was in the bearing. Where do I get it and where does it go? I can’t tell if it was larger and has been ground to its current size or if was about that size to start.
