$16 replacement DVD system remote!

Recently picked up a 2010 LC for the wife and it did not come with the DVD remote. I know it's considered outdated, but the novelty had our kids excited about the idea.

I checked Toyota and a replacement OEM remote was $200-$300. No thanks...

Kept searching and came across this site selling an aftermarket version for $16. I thought "no way it'll work but worth a shot". Hell, if it didn't work perfectly! It controls the Input options, it can adjust the screen settings, choose options on the DVD Menu. Couldn't believe it and figured I'd share. I ordered the "HiFi" version.

Mine came without the remote, too. I just looked on eBay, and good grief! The price for "real" ones is ridiculous. Thank you for the head's up.
 
Does the volume work?

Does people’s volume buttons work on the factory remote? Because my factory remote seems to work great, but not the volume for some reason.

I don't think so. My kids just control their own volume with the knobs on the backseat AC control panel.

I was also looking to order that cheap remote that's unavailable now. I purchased a different one from that site that looked identical, but it did not work for me. I ended up purchasing this one from eBay:
