I've chatted with the nice folks at Cerullo and even offered to carry their line for LXs for the LuxCruisers site, but they only make the Toyota pattern not the Lexus one so I've held off. I believe they said it's too expensive to make the pattern since nobody else was asking for the Lexus specific pattern.
They will sell you just one section if you only need a driver's seat bottom for example. I see the price being commensurate with the convenience, anybody can put these one fairly quickly and get on with their day.

why are people spending $500+ on seat covers instead of just getting new leather... $300 for the front seats....

the same reason people go out for a $60 steak they could have made for $15 at home. Convenience and perceived quality.

Installing the lseats properly is MUCH more involved and time consuming than installing seat covers. I've watched a couple videos of guys doing them and decided I'd let an upholstery shop do it which is gonna run another 300 so really the cost would be 650 for me which is why I've held off.
I've yet to find an option that doesn't have any drawbacks. Wet okole are too hot according to many on here and cerullos are too expensive so I can't make up my mind.

it’s all relative, you’re on a diy centric forum :grinpimp: all things considered, the Lseat install is pretty “meh”

Yeah I hear ya, maybe I'll bite the bullet and get some hogring players and try it. If it gets too bad take it to the upholstery shop 😀
I have zero experience in upholstery work and had both seats completed maybe in 10-12 hours. I could have been faster than that, but I added 1/2" of foam on all surfaces so that took time and that also made them harder to install due to a tighter fit.

I didn't think it was too bad, spread out over 3-4 evenings it was over soon enough.

After reading cruiserintn thread on here about these seat covers, I decided to try the Cerullo Performance Seats for myself. I bought the grey ones for my 2006 LX470. I'd say they are the best cover/replacement kit next to fully reskinning the seats. The covers delivered were $560 which isn't cheap I understand. But the quality and ease of installing them was worth the price. I did both front seats in 2.5 hours. The first 1/2 hour was just checking out what was in the box and looking everything over. The color match is almost identical to factory grey. The grain is slightly different but barely noticeable. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a replacement option.

Available for 80 & 100 Series trucks

How have these held up over the years?

Here’s mine after two years of DD. The fit had loosened up some, when I clean up the vehicle I tend to retuck everything tightly again.

I do plan on eventually replacing the shot leather I’ve had but this allows me to easily push that further back and worry about refreshing more important mechanical areas first.

Even after I replace the leather I’d prolly still keep these for protection.
