Round trip Ohio to Chicago, averaged 15mpg hwy at 75mph... not bad considering the head-on wind storm there and crosswind across I65 back.

Ouch, are you still hurt over your defeat in that other thread? Nice build.

Give it a rest, unless you’re planning not to use the most narrow 42-inch available for your own truck.

I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not on the second part. So I’ll assume it’s genuine. Thank you. To add I wouldn't say its in the build phase yet. Right now I’m fixing neglect. All maintenance is now up to date. Hopefully in the early part of 20 I can start doing actual build stuff to make it a tow pig.

Packed for the year-end KYTLCA trail ride. Just me and the kids. I really hope I’m not forgetting something.

Totally spaced on the 5 pictures per post. I think the best part of the trip was the complete lack of cell service. My kids and I enjoyed telling knock-knock jokes, searching for dinosaurs and imagining crocodiles in the creek we drove up. We even saw a “robot spider” (oil pump) way out in the middle of no where

I knew mom would want proof-of-life pictures once we hit cell service. I took a moment to snap this:

both kids where great.they understood to be calm and quite when I was being spotted. My daughter made the comment; “I like your green truck (100) better, it doesn’t bounce as hard as you’re grey truck (77).

Question for the group, anyone make armor or truss the rear LCA tie-ins? Thinking about getting the TT arms too. Thoughts?

It’s my truck and they are armored based on what I was told. Good to confirm, thank you.

they like to dig in and get hooked on rocks with break-over.

I’m thinking of adding a spine or truss?

We’re back in Ohio after 4000 miles road trip. Trip was a lot of fun and mostly uneventful.

My steering rack decided to fail in Alabama. Assessed to situation which turned out to be vanilla. I removed as much fluid as I could from the res and burped the system. Thank you to everyone who helped out here.

My nerves and brain refused to function after the 14hr drive down. It’s awesome knowing the community is ready!

New rack, res and send/return lines will be going in soonest. I need to order the parts and carve out time to get it done. For now I’m just topping off the atf at each fill up.

Pulled into Tampa a few days later and enjoyed family time and a hotel Christmas. It’s good having the family together even just for a week.

The truck averaged 15mpg on the highway with a max of 17mpg. I’m happy with economy given its current configuration,
300-ish mile range is abysmal.

For every problem there is a solution. The best solution is usually the simplest. @wardharris (aka Santa) has, what I believe, the best solution for the 100’s Achilles heal.

Two options for the 100 are currently available: 25 gal auxiliary tank and/or 40 gal replacement tank. I decided on the replacement. We weren’t 100% sure the aux tank would fit given my rear bar’s design and 3” frame-bob.

This tank will afford 600 highway miles / 400 mixed miles / 360 off-road miles. I see this becoming my favorite mod (But the driver’s seat has seen better days and I have a set of Planted seat bases on the way from @jmlockwood; a set of Sheel-Mann seats may be the next addition).

I’ll get this tank installed as soon as I fix the steering rack, hopefully before my next planned trip at the end of January. Details will be in a stand-alone thread and linked here.

That’s a really nice upgrade. If you can only, pls share here your 40 gallon tank replacement step by step how to and tools and equipments from removal of old to migrating the existing fuel pump, floater, etc to the new one. Thanks HNY!
