This truck will be in my driveway tomorrow. It’s a weekend “See and Eat Mississippi” rig/run to Lowes/I’m sick of driving an RX 350/ toy.

Future mods – fuel, oil, maybe some form of sliders for kids to climb in, weather techs, possibly a dog barrier. (Part of the appeal was maintenance history and it’s got a lot of stuff all ready bolted on.)

Nice rig Shush.....great pick up.

thanks

admit it, your just happy I won't flood the 60 thread with "how do I do this?" questions....it's cool.

that was part of the final decision. We were looking at a 60 very seriously, but newer, turn key was just to obvious....

I can tell you after owning a 60 series for about the last 10yrs. After having a 100 it would be hard pressed to going back to leaf springs unless a 70 series.

Both my wife and i loved the 60 platform but after having kids. 100 all the way.

We are closing to getting another one.

Awesome shush! Yes, having traded a 60 so I could get into a 100 and for a lot of the same considerations, i echo that you made the right decision. Looks great! What's the mileage?

60s are great, and I will likely own another one, but first things first.

It just rolled 200k, I would have held out for lower miles, but the price was right and the Texas for life (no rust) with good maintenance sold me. Additionally knowing a grandma and her 40 something year old daughter have been behind the wheel meant she hadn't been fording river's or pulling 7k trailers.

I noticed Mark selling a lot of his stuff recently? Is he getting out of the game?

Nice get.

Yeah, not sure. I know he is selling the 100 because he wants/needs a tacoma for the shop. I wasn't sure if he was like Nolan and bought/fixed/sold/flipped alot or what.

John you gonna go do some wheeling with the Overland boyz now?

John you gonna go do some wheeling with the Overland boyz now?

I plan to. My 3 and 6 year olds have never spent the night in a tent.

unacceptable.

phase 1 is back yard
phase 2 is Nolan's back yard
phase 3 is weekend excursions

the key is keeping moma comfortable.

He has to purchase the proper clothing first.

cut off military pants and flip flops......right?

You will receive the group's overlanding goodie bag this weekend John. It has all the clothing requirements, dinner table etiquette, and other rules and regulations that we overlanders like to adhere to. There will be a test at the end of the day saturday. Bring two #2 pencils.

:)

Jrob, Chris, Bossman and I will break every rule in the book on our Alaska trip. Just thought I'd go ahead and warn y'all!

Yeah, that will be an epic trip for sure, especially with that crew. Bossman's the Alaskan guru and has you covered, but I will say the Alaskan rains, mosquitos the size of small birds, and temp swings may warrant a look at the clothing and shelter chapters of the Overlander's Guide Book. Oh, and no need for bear spray, you only have to outrun 1 person.
