Where the eff do i find some hardware to extend the negative battery cable another inch to fit a new battery I've bought? Every parts house guy here looks at me like i'm asking for flux capacitor parts...

So looking at yours, all the neg terminals (both the post and the threaded attachment point) are attached via that connector?

The post is much closer for me. I'm assuming you had to cut the factory clamp attachment off and install a normal post connector?
 
I am in denial that my Sears batteries are ever going to fail thinking of all the countless hours I had ensuring perfect battery cable length…
