My 100 found another friend. My buddy Trey ( @NELA Mongoose ) bought this Friday. 2005. Super clean. And the gold looks great in person. TBars, running boards and maybe sliders next weekend.

The Monroe crowd is growing. Three 100s, three 200s, an 80, and a 40 now in the group.

Hope it's the first of many good memories in this rig. I got underneath it this weekend and while it's not a "rust bucket" there is definitely more rust than I'd like to have in the front suspension and steering link (behind the brake dust shield). I cleaned up 1 side with sanding/wire wheel and rust inhibitor (and several coats of pb blaster on the fasteners), but still have some work to do. The frame and body are rust free, and there is a little rust on the exhaust connections and a little surface rust on the u-joints. Most of the more significant rust was on parts can be cleaned or replaced. No buyers remorse; Just a little PITA.

I'm not going in there. Them ain't my people, I'll end up spittin on somebody and then get told to "stand down Land Speeder!".... "can kiss my azz back to h8mile"

But seriously, post a link, I'm way too curious how an open dif can go boom in this scenario. I could see a hub, but not sure how a dif that's open could break when one side virtually always have give with ATRAC. I need to learn this technology.
 
I think the 2000 has the 4 pinion front diff which is stronger than mine.....the 98 and 99 2 pinion design.

Oh... yeah, JBras, if that's what your referring to, I knew about that. But the 2000 has the 4banger dif.
