Thanks much for sharing this diagram, I'm trying to do a bit of troubleshooting and need to know what the 4 terminals of the EFI relay are connected to. I know terminal 1 is what we are trying to get 12V, need to know the other 3. :
Where is the intertidal switchI went through this whole diagnostic just yesterday. On a 100 though, not a 105.
If you pull the fuel line off the fuel filter (release the green plastic deal) and get no fuel when cranking the engine, make sure you check the fuel pump intertia switch before going through the hassle of pulling the seats out to get at the fuel pump.
Where is the intertidal switch
After a long saga with a No Start issue my issue was being caused by a possible loose wire between the fuel pump control module which triggered the Inertia Switch.
I was never able to find this switch...all the diagrams showed it way up under the dash. However, the mechanic that ultimately diagnosed and fixed it said it is “on the driver’s side up under the dash on the side of the center (towards the radio).”
I am having a crank no start on a 2001 LX470.2000 LC - EFI/ECD testing diagram and info from manual
I am having a crank no start on a 2001 LX470.
-Replaced fuel pump.
-EFI fuse looks ok, power on both sides.
-changed spark plugs, good spark on one cylinder tested
Is 74 ohms(?) ok across terminals 1 & 3 on the relay or does it need to be replaced?
When testing the ECD relay with my multimeter I get 74 (ohms?) resistance. I'm learning to use my multimeter 0=continuity and beeps, 1 is no continuity. It does not beep. The relay is like $500 here in Calgary, so I want to make sure. A Standard Motor Products aftermarket relay is $210 and no where to be found yet.
Thanks, I tried shifing to nuetral and figeting with the shift know back and forth in Neurtral and in park and no dice. Won't start.Crank no start with security light off and spark seen. Is typically 1 of 2 issue.
1) No or Low fuel pressure. With a fuel pressure gauge hooked up. Run fuel pump within tech stream. Sometimes pinching off fuel return line, will increase back pressure enough to fire up.
2) Transmission neutral lock off switch. Very often by shifting to neutral, it will than start.
Thanks for the info on the relay.74 ohms is okay. You made me want to sell relays in Canada.
Do you have blinking security light while engine cranks? The security light is located next to the clock display in center console.
If you have blinking security light while engine cranks, then follow troubleshooting instructions in post #51.

My immobilizer fix
I got the famous crank but not start immobilizer problem. I replaced the 20A EFI fuse with a 30A fuse and it started right away. However, it was a temporary fix. I had the same problem again 4 days later. This is what I did to get the engine started. It has been working with no problem for...forum.ih8mud.com
How can I check if the timing is out (belt jumped or broken) or the crank sensor being bad? I don't have any info on the timing belt being changed and the truck has 353,000 kms. No stickers of replacement. The PO had it for 10 years and did not know about it being changed. I've already got the parts, but want to get it running before doing a larger repair.
You can pull the PS cover by removing a few bolts and nut off the cover. The DS cover is similar but you also have to remove the camshaft position sensor. Then turn the crank pulley clockwise 1-2 full revolutions until the mark on the crank pulley is lined up with “0” on the timing cover at the crank. Then check that the camshaft pulleys are lined up with the marks on the backing plates. You cannot adjust timing without pulling the timing belt tensioner and timing belt off.
I down loaded oracles virtual box onto my win 10 note book. I run tech-stream in the V-box, on windows XP.Thanks, I tried shifing to nuetral and figeting with the shift know back and forth in Neurtral and in park and no dice. Won't start.
I can't get TechStream to run on my Windows 10 Laptop. I bought two different cables.
I get no fuel at the filter after an initial spash when I disconnect the hose. It seems that there is a little fuel pressure that builds up sometimes initially.
I took the relay to the Lexus dealer and they tested it for free (after me balking at the $75 /half hour fee). The relay tests good. So 074-076 ohms across post 1&3 from the previous diagram is close enough to be considered continutity (0).
I have a good ground on the ECD relay, and I have power
Where is this fuse box located on the vehicle? Under the hood or on the drivers side kick panel?I sent you a PM with access to literature.
Sorry the picture above is the Fuel Pump Controller- and it is located in the rear DS pillar under the cover just near where the bottle jack lives.
Here is the FP Relay location.

There is one main fuse box in the engine compartment, and two fuse panels on either side of the driver and passenger foot well. Check your OM or the FSM for specific circuit application.Where is this fuse box located on the vehicle? Under the hood or on the drivers side kick panel?
Hello I have that problem , where is locate it ? ThanksI went through this whole diagnostic just yesterday. On a 100 though, not a 105.
