I just bought a HJ61 so im following this closely.
The Nu finish worked amazing. I'll be buying a bottle next time I go to the parts shop.
The Ghost is gonna be more OEM than it was from the factory at this rate!

my FACTORY RESTORED to a Yellow Paint dots level LIMITED SLIP DIFFERENTIAL showed up for @cruisermatt / CruiserMatt's OFF ROAD in winter Park Florida

Goals :

- Replace my sad old tired 1986 FJ60 Corner Lamps installed when original front end retro 62 to a 60 took place , due to age and time simply put

- my OEM KOITo lenses are foggy UV damaged beyond any normal service life ,

- however ,

- are indeed still solid and intact as a i piece monolithic 2 color fused lenses type...

- the current corner lamps buckets / sockets are corroded , but i refreshed the reflector surface allrady and lubed with di-electric grease when i initially
converted the GHOST to 100% LED LUMENS down to the little A/C BLUE push button switch itself single DIODE size spec.

- The AMBER UPPER portions or both sides of corner lamps lenses is UV damaged to the point much of the lumens are visible in the COOL WHITE spectrrum

The small whiteish receiver grommetts are all smoked from one too many ins and outs !

Heck Iv had these corner lenses off at least 4 times so far …

Below are the SPOILS of working at various toyota dealerships and being the parts managers little YES man PET …

I always raised my hand high to volunteer to use a big canvas mail cart and dispose of the monthly obsolescence parts scrap and the disposal of all the new car warranty parts the technicians turned back in to us to write off

I will freely admit that the canvas mail cart typically would B-LINE
It directly to what ever beeter disco stash ball TOYOTA of the week get me to skool get me to work road runner ….
And I work stuff and push bags and bags of perfect condition parts that TOYOTA classified. As TRASH …

I viewed and nothing less then the Treasure of OAK ISLAND 🏝..

like all things Land Cruiser , i now face a hard call to make because TOYOTA Disc. the entire lamps assy's i scooped up the highest quality after market entire assemblies i could find and see actual images of too , not some GHETTO EBAY PROP SHOT CRAP from china !


- also , ill take a moment and just say i forgot to order the 8 receiver grommets , luckily i had a later modle toyota Substitute ones !

- DO NOT ATTEMP THIS JOB WITHOUT 8 NEW receiver grommets to secure the main 8 lamps screws or you will be SCREWED like i was on my hands and knees sifting through my trash to treasure HORDE on the cold concrete floor

i have decided to reatore the oem main housings bulb sockets and simply install the after market body’s Temp

Less time involved to do it this way oddly


I just discovered you can still get the rubber body gasket and the lens OEM toyota .

I suppose your all laugh and poke phun , but This is by first 60 series


I think I had a sput Nick moment and actually felt pissed off at Toyota
More then usual for NLA the front OEM corner lamps assy ,s ?

Now I may have a better understanding what all the bitchin is always and the feeding frenzy that occurred with over the demise of the wiper linkage assy on Monday ?

This FORCED use of sun par non OEM parts blows !

I can’t believe I am actually installing a NON-KOITo on my personal Toyota fleet Vehical ?

I feel I have to walk with a black hood over my head and wait for the hangman to secure the TEq parts Noose tightly around my chicken-neck !

The front seats turned out great! Really like how the vinyl sides now match the pattern of the doors. Very nice.

I am very dis-pleased how my iPhone does not communicate the Pure Yellow LED lumen color tone to the image itself ?

Actual color is Pure Yellow / camera phone shows a white hot light yellow ?

Off to shooting manual with the NIKON Digital SLR next ..

We shall see then …
