I'm assuming this guy has to be a mud member. If so, your skills are amazing.
Wow! I would really like to see some of his processes for building the body panels. Thanks for sharing the video.
Whoa that's awesome! I haven't seen this one yet. Too bad he doesn't show it in action
Dunno if it's the same guy, but there was a guy on RC forums that was one of the first to be documenting his steel scale RCs a few years ago. From what I recall his process seemed fairly straighforward -- he would cast/replicate the original RC body section in solid 2-part resin to make a die positive. Then he'd take a piece of thin steel sheeting and put it over the resin die form, then form it by basically rubbing the steel with fingers/sticks/tools/etc. Kinda like sheet metal stamping, only done by hand with much thinner metal.
same guy, more footage. frickin impressive
that's some seriously detailed work, I like the raw unpainted metal look for the 40
I want one of the Schwinn StingRays!
Um...this is unreal. 4:30 is particularly cool...
I think that's the rcw4d gelande II. looks like he did a bunch of mods to it, I'm seriously tempted to pull the trigger on this kit..
heres another clip, some of these customizers are incredible.
