So I bought my Warn Model 8000 new in 1974 and it has been on the front of my Land Cruiser ever since. I've done a pretty good job of keeping the oil level up and replacing the oil with the recommended SAE 30 motor oil and the old winch has been a dependable as my FJ40 for 43 years. Turns out...

Can someone tell me what's going on here? I'd been having trouble with my winch/remote operating, and on further inspection noticed one of the pins on the solenoid box is deeper than the rest. See the pic below - the 'female' pin on the bottom of the picture is sunken deeper than the others...

I have an 8274 Warn and when I winch in the winch just clicks sometime? If I click it a couple times it grabs and winches as it should. This doesn't happen all the time but I would certainly prefer that it grabs every time I hit the button. Any recommendations? I already cleaned the wires...
