WOW!! I have been sitting in my fawking hotel room for the last 3 hours waiting for the report.

Pics turned out great. Can't wait to see more.

Got home a bit ago (stopped to eat with my dad).

That was probably the best Cullowhee trip yet!

My highlights:

- Hitting the bar in Sylva for a beer Thursday PM after a long drive
- Hitting a mattress Thursday night for a good snooze
- AMAZING views and trails all day, every day
- The mouse
- The CRAZY ass wind last night...35 degrees and 50 mph winds is a bad combo
- New (to me) route down from the upper bald this morning

I am whooped. Hitting the showers and the real bed. More tomorrow.

A huge "Thank You" for all of the effort put forth by everyone to make this event happen! We had a great time...killer scenery, good wheeling, being just about blown off the mountain, etc.

I did notice a loving trail kiss this afternoon when washing the 100...oh well. Now if someone will just rearend the 100 and push it into a car in front of me and then be so kind as to give me their insurance agents name :)

AMAZING TRIP EVERYONE!!!!! I simply can't begin to describe it to the rest of the deprived world just exactly what I experienced this wkend. Thank you everyone for an amazing time. It truly was spectacular and I look forward to returning.

Great trip - quick update will tell more tomorrow. Jason made it to Asheville and is working on arrangements to make it back home and to get the Piggie home - especially Tommy ($out) who came to the rescue with a diesel and trailer and spent at least an hour or more driving over the mountain looking for a sick Piggie. Will post up more later. Tired...

did you guys go up/down wet camp trail?

Who's red 80 with the tent is that? What kind of tent is that?

man, hate to have missed this one guys...trust me, i would MUCH rather have been on the trail Saturday instead on staring at a piece of paper filling in dots for 8 hrs.

looks like another great trip! hopefully there will be some good submissions for the website... ;)

Sorry you didn't make it, and what's worse is I know I get to look forward to the same thing. Hope you did well. There will be other times. Lemme know if you're up for a random trip. I'll be there!!!:bounce:

We didn't make it to wet camp this trip. We were going to hit it this morning, but we ended up going out the other side of the caney fork trail.

I did manage to take the Cado up the shortcut. Jason was along for the ride after we dropped his piggie with a dead clutch. He can describe that ride...was too quick and crazy for pictures :)

Yea, i talked to J on the phone tonight. He was hanging in ashvegas.

Well it was about this time 3 days ago that i wandered up the road to speedwell aiming for a destination unknown to me, wondering if i had gone too far or was it not far enough? When i saw it on the side of the road ......UC a beacon to a weary piggy and driver. I pulled in to a greeting party and the much anticipated beverage and bed. And from that moment till now i have relied on this same group of friends and fellow wheelers to get me back home and I thank you all very much!!!!!!!!!

from everyone in our group pitching in to split up and secure all my gear to dan to for following me out and letting me ride shotty in the cado and somehow getting ahead of our group on the return :D , steehn for a place to sleep on a stormy night and especially:
steve(juice) for carting me and my gear around today, helpin limp the pig to safety, and bringing me to asheville
Tommy($out) for the offer of his sunday pm for the tow out to a safe place, the pork rib dinner wasnt bad either ;)
Steve( fz40z) for the gracious offer to come and get me from ashville tonight!!

.... thank you guys

this is what makes a group like UC so great; ive been stranded on the trail before and its nice to know great people and great planning and can prevent a trip from being ruined by misfortune.
