Many of us have wheeled with one or more of the three Trail Teams presently travelling around the US in their FJ Cruisers.,...I've really enjoyed meeting the team members (I've met almost all of them) and look forward to seeing them at the various events.

Odds are, something similar is happening for 2007....

any suggestions for 2007 for the Team planners?

I've got a couple, but lets see what ya'all come up with

they were around to promote the fjc, which they've done successfully...why would toyota continue with it (not that i wouldn't mind...they've been great to have around)

Now that I have my FJ, I wish they would come back to So California. They were here, but real early on. I wish they could come back.

I know its been discussed before, but how about a National Toyota Jamboree sponsored by Toyota in conjunction with TLCA to promote the FJ Cruiser and to build a stronger relationship with the folks who are dedicated to the Toyota Brand, similar to the Heep Jamboree's ???

ooooh, Toyota sponsored national event.....*droool*

Sounds like a plan to me!

Plans are in the works for a national get together on the fjcruiserforums site. I think they are planning on meeting in Ouray, Co. July 12th. Don't know if they are seeking Toyota sponsorship.

Overall do you feel that the FJCTT enhanced the events you attended, why/whynot?

Our approach has been to try to compliment the events we attend and not to dominate. When we can we help out with the equipment and expertise we have.

Lately we've seen a lot of FJC owners attend events because of the Trail Team's presence. It's nice to see the support from owners and to be part of the support from Toyota. As more people become owners this will continue to add to events.

I'm curious to see what Toyota has in mind for next year. Perhaps you can offer some thoughts.

IMHO, yes, the FJCTT enhance the events that they attend. They are a knowledgeable, experienced, helpful group that are a blast to hang out and wheel with! They even put up with the Copper State Cruisers last weekend.:D

I think that they should sponsor Cruise Moab next year.:D How about finding a short (.25 mile?) obstacle course loop trail, that shows off the ability's of the truck, somewhat close to camp and running it in the evenings. That way people could stop in on the way back from their trail runs and drive the FJC challenge. Maybe have some type of competition involved, like roll the FJC!:whoops: ... Or best line, best spotter/driver interaction, etc.

The short course thing would work for those that don't have a driver for their rig, can't drive the FJC's on the trail. Most trails only have a few big obstacles, so only the lucky few get to do them. A short obstacle course trail could be tailored to showoff the truck and some good natured competition would make it an event?

They did a "short course" at Rubithon... It worked out fairly well.

Sawsall competition! :D Seriously, Woody's right on about the teams...great group of folks! It will be interesting what new project gets ramped up in '07!

I think the fj trail teams have been great. I also believe they have enhanced the events from give aways to grilling out to just being there with a new toyota.

In the future it'd be cool to see a "Toyota Team" continue with one FJ, one taco, a 100 series and a 4runner. Basically showing all of Toyota's prowess off road not just the FJ.

I am curious if they are planning on continuing to show, the stock stuff, or maybe what can be done and some more aftermarket stuff.

I also think that is would be cool for them to show off the "other" stuff that is available for FJ not just the big guys they seem to be in bed with.

What about the little guys :crybaby:

Ok, enough of the soap box, I am just saying they should put some of the smaller vendors stuff on them if they are still going to tour, may it fair for all, not just a select few.

Thanks Woody :)

Cheers,

Michael

I guess someone has to find something wrong with everything ^^^

I think the fjctt was a great addition to the hoosier hodown and tallcorn. Like I said in my little interview (which I hope never sees the light of day) they provide a known variable in a strange event. the tall corn event I really didnt know anyone but I knew the fjctt was going to be ther so ther would atleast be one friendly responsible group. I enjoy having them there and I dont really care about the fjc.

Next year they need to come to the Cliffs in marseilles. They showed interest and were surprised they hadnt been there. but there are no toy events there. Maybe Ill start one:D

I've enjoyed the Fj Cruiser teams. Very nice folks:cheers: . It was fun to have them at Cruise Moab this past year, fun to watch Chris take the Fj up Double Whammy. I hope they continue the teams, and like Wes said, maybe include some of the other rigs Toyota has.
