As some of you may know I have been "up to no good" lately. So, its time for me to introduce you to Papa Smurf. Some of you also might recognize this FJC from another UC member - Thanks Merle! Here are a couple of pics. I've been driving her around today and she is sweet. I can't wait to get her off road at Cullowhee in February.

bout time you got more than one cruiser!

Steve,

If I recall, Merle had some mods done out in Colorado before he moved here. Post up a pic of the "Land Cruiser" emblem when you get a chance.

By the way Steve, Merle is "one of us." You know what I mean (so no one gets the wrong idea, I mean 'perfectionist.' ) Just what YOU needed, and what I really need . . .

You mean I have a Cruiser that doesn't need 6 months of body work! Merle being the PO/OO is one reason I bought this rig. It does have the older diffs but I don't plan on wheeling it hard and if they blow before the warranty is out I'll have them hopefully warrantied and if they blow after the warranty is out I'll regear!

All the work Merle did on this FJC is very nice. He was telling me a few times how the rear storage was a "quick job." I thought to myself "damn, his 'quick job' is better than anything I could do taking my time.!"

Thanks again Merle. The :princess: loves it. I took her out for a few rides yesterday. I think I might have to aim the headlights a bit lower...not sure. The oncoming drivers were not pleased! :grinpimp:

I did pack some tools, recover gear and such in the rear drawers. I was shocked by the difference in the amount of tools I need for the FJC versus the Pig...ie: no BFHs!

PS: David - I still have a lb of coffee for your wife.

Congrats Steve! That's a very nice truck... saw it in action at OTMT.

I am really happy that Steve was able to pick up the FJ! I know it is going to a good home where it will be loved and reared with patience...wait a minute....do we all think of these as our kids?

Guess I need to change my avatar before Steve charges me for the use!

Uh, Merle, ...................... :doh:Wait 'til Steve takes your 'baby' wheeling and posts some pictures of the destruction, I mean 'pinstripes'!

You're going to be spoiled in that thing... Enjoy it!!!

I already am! This thing is sweet!

LOL - you can hold onto your Avatar as long as you want. You did a good job building your FJC. My short list of mods include a hi-lift mount with a winch and skids hopefully before the end of the year. I'm on restriction from spending $ right now. :grinpimp:

Personally, I think the combo of a 55 and an FJC is just perfect. Well done, Steve!

Thank you ma'am!

So CC, are you saying I shouldn't wheel with Marshall??? :grinpimp:

Nice

I have seen this thing two times in two days. Executive center from 385 and this afternoon near Furman. Each time I have about wrecked rubber necking. Stop it already.:steer:

Heh heh - I sent you a PM - I work off Exec Center and live in TR.

And check this out - I'm getting almost 18 mpg w/ city driving!
