Finally put a webasto in. Took several starts. Wasnt sucking diesel. Readusted punp. Going now but truck is pulling in air. Ill have to tape over fittings.

How did you mount the bracket plate? Drill into body?

Has anyone installed a coolant heater. I have an idea of where to put it. But I need bracket ideas on how to attach. I see someone did a bracket for the shock mount. That looked like the best install point.

Thanks for this thread guys. So I bought a late model steering wheel off ebay since my jdm 80 came with a nardi wheel and the horn doesn't work. So what I've found is mine doesn't have an airbag harness and also already has the cruise control stock on the lower leg. So here's my dilemma...

Do you have a pic how the horn wire connects to pad? I'm putting factory wheel back in after taking off the Nardi wood wheel. I see the wire but not where it connects.

I'd assume it works like car starters on cellphones. Probably has enough range from your bedroom to the driveway but I'd have to research to know.

I bet. I had one for my 06 golf way back in the day. When it worked it was awesome but took me awhile to realize it was tripping the breaker cause regular extension cord couldn't pull enough amps. Glad this one runs on diesel.

Ended up getting the bluetooth smart controller. They gave me a deal.

For me the webasto is number one importance. December to Feb in calgary has some brutal temps. It's not my daily anyway so remote start is down the line. I do like the idea of the Bluetooth smart controller.
