Can you confirm what the RCA leads are connected to? Are the LC speakers should connected to this harness? If so, your likely issue is a combination of head unit power output (despite specs, likely to be not much more than 20wpc) and higher impedance speakers. And you mentioned the speakers...

The load resistors generally come with quick splice connectors, so you need to wire them in yourself. Something like this might help.

Just keep in mind that in Australia, your maximum - legal - offset change is 25mm (ie 50mm track width). So for the hunjy, you can change from +60mm (factory) to +35mm. Not sure about SA, however the Qld scalies are brutal on this stuff. Here's the NSW blurb, however this applies nationally...
