In response to @AndrewCo possibility of running into the torsion bar crossmember with the big bell, fortunately it doesn't. There's even plenty of room between that I mounted my remote filter/thermostat/heat exchanger on the crossmember.

But it is possible to notch out the 2 holes in my adapter, I just dont have time right now. And I know in the future I'll be pulling the whole drivetrain out as a whole for other reasons.
