Is that the same green as the TRD Pro model 4runner/tacoma? I think they call it Army Green. Between a green like this or the original white when I get a respray.

That IC is much larger than the vibrant ones I've seen most people use. Please get back with new EGTs when you get a chance, that thing is a monster. @cruisermatt Will you sell kits for this for those of us that aren't nearby? Or maybe a parts list for the DIYers?

What's the safe EGT limit on these again? I need to get a gauge for ours still but I didn't think temps would be that high on the highway.

Have you noticed a big difference in heat? I'm stuck between clear and slightly dark for heat reduction/to block prying eyes.

Check out the papadakis racing rav4. Guy owns his own race shop and mildly built a two door, manual rav4 from this gen. It's super cool.

Changed the battery and oil and it fired right up after two years in the garage. I’ve missed this truck. I forgot that the exhaust burbles on decel occasionally. Got the carpet finished up and it only took over a year to redo it all. Pictures on that soon.

You could go all out with the intercooler piping and wrap it in gold reflective foil. If it's good enough for the McLaren F1 it's good enough for our trucks. I've never seen it done on a LC though.

Do you have an intercooler already? That is arguably the most important mod for these cars for the sake of longevity. It being as hot as it is in Florida I would prioritize this. As far as the manifold/turbo replacements I don't have firsthand experience to help, but I was looking at Krae 4x4...

Interested to see how this works out long term because I'd like to do the same. Every example I've driven, including our own, has this hood shake.

Was this done to reduce the hood shake that these are known for? Did it work?

I’ve got an ‘84 and from what I read on this it’s not as simple as a 62. I’d love to be proven wrong though, seems like a cool upgrade.

Alright gents, steering box is leaking. Do I send it off to red head and wait weeks or do I attempt a DIY for half the cost? Also going to check if anyone local to me does this.

Have you had success with that version? It looks like it might be the same plastic as the normal ball but with a larger rod inside of it. Not sure if that'll solve the deformation issue (if the plastic is the same).
