Yes, it solved the problem but I also changed the rear u-joints when I did it. I am pretty sure the vibration I was getting was from within the transfer case as the u-joints have a different sound when they are wearing out. A good set of chasis ears would help you be sure.

Add plumber's tape to the nut that screws into the compressor and then just tighten up the nut (as far as it will go). I had backflow on mine and this fixed it.
