Wanted WTB - 2017+ Land Cruiser

Hi all, I'm looking for a 2017 plus Land Cruiser. Ideally I'd like less than 100k miles (a few thousand over isn't a deal breaker) and black or terra interior. No preference for exterior color, but very strong preference for unmodified southern cars and solid maintenance records. I'm in...

    Kind of Urgent Help Request

Thanks, guys - I had totally missed the sill plate. I'm going to pass, but did get some pictures with sill plate removed. There are some bubbles, but it looks way better than I was anticipating. The paint is still intact, so one could presumably just clean the areas up and hit it with a...

    Kind of Urgent Help Request

I was high bidder on the RNM auction earlier today on Bring a Trailer. The seller sent me an offer that is indeed very close to my high bid, which was driven by auction fervor and the need for a replacement for our LX that was totaled last week. 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser URJ200 -...

    2014 LX - AHC Issues/Massive Leak

Hi guys, I have a 2014 LX (lifetime TX car) with 120k miles. I purchased around 64k, and the AHC had just been serviced at 60k mile service. It's worked great until a few days ago I noticed some oil drops on the driveway. I cycled the AHC up and that presented a massive leak and immediately...

    Observations on ignition coils

Much better than I'm getting, and that's with the extra gear and VVTI in my 2006. I think at around 70-80 I was averaging around 14.5, corrected for bigger tires. At least it's been consistently bad throughout the 110k miles I've had it.

    Observations on ignition coils

No questions, but I wanted to share some observations after having replaced the original ignition coils on my 2006 LC (which had no faults) at 180k miles. Some quick background - I changed the original plugs about 3 years ago at 160k miles. The original plugs looked surprisingly good, but...

    2014 LX Side Mirror

Hi guys, my wife took her LX to war with a trash can and damaged the RH mirror. The glass is broken and the “cap” that fits to the back (front of car side) of the mirror is lost. The glass is apparently $250 and Lexus doesn’t sell the cap separately for the 2014. A new assembly is around $950...

For Sale DFW Area - TJM T-13 for 100 Series - new in wrap

Hi guys, I bought a TJM T-13 for my 100 series last year and never got around to installing it. I may be getting ready to buy a 200 later this year, so with that being the case, this is now for sale. It is extremely well packaged to the point that I spent about 15 minutes taking the plastic...

2014 LX - AFS and TRAC Lights

Would I be able to pull an error code using a simple scanner? The actual CEL isn't lit - just the TRAC light and the AFS light. Also, in thinking some more about it being a wheel speed sensor, there isn't an ABS light lit, so maybe not that?

2014 LX - AFS and TRAC Lights

Hi all, my wife was involved in a collision a couple of days ago in her 2014 LX. It took a pretty good hit to the right front with the headlight being damaged and the alignment getting knocked off a few degrees (wheel points straight at about 11:55 instead of 12). There is what appears to be...

How to remove dash trim around hvac controls

Hi all, I have no doubt this has been covered before, but I'm having difficult finding the thread - how do I remove the trim surrounding the nav unit in my 2006 LC? I have a bluetooth unit I'm itching to install, but kind of stumped on what I'm sure is the easy first step. I found plenty of...

    Left front suspension chirp?

Well quick but embarrassing update: I should have mentioned initially that most of the left front suspension (control arms, hub assembly, and steering knuckle) were replaced around 10k miles ago. I double checked the ball joints by rocking the tire and they seemed fine. I went ahead and...

    Left front suspension chirp?

Thanks, guys junkcrzr, I was thinking a wheel bearing had a bit more consistency and pitch varied with speed, it admittedly haven’t experienced one.

    Left front suspension chirp?

Hi guys, my 06 with 155k miles recently developed a random chirp from the front suspension that almost feels like it’s under the dead pedal. “Chirp” might be the wrong technical term, but it sounds like a very hard piece of rubber being drug across a floor - maybe more like a deep chirp...

High pitched whine and charging issue

Assuming it's only the alternator bearings that are bad, would it otherwise pass a load test similar to what they'd do at Autozone? Mine is a 2006 LC with around 139,000 on it.
