I had a similar problem with the last of my lines (I also didn't read the instructions....). I ended up buggering up the threads on the line. Slee did give me a deal with getting a replacement line. A little bit of clean up on the last flare and it threaded right in.
I am installing a new light bar on my bumper and am looking for a “LandCruiser worthy” fused relay, either a single relay or a 2 or 3 relay block for future use. What is the go-to for a quality relay block?
Thanks guys. I just filled up my tank this morning, and it's now sitting slightly lower than the passenger side. All of my measuring was originally done on an almost empty tank. All makes sense now.
I just put a bumper and winch on the other day and was adjusting my torsion bars to bring the height back up to "pre bumper". I noticed my rear heights are different from each other, the passenger side rear is 1" lower than the driver side rear. I assumed that the springs my have sagged...
Dang. Frustrating since I lube it every year and it's been flawless. It is a 23yr old truck though (that lived the first half of its life in NY).
Should I also plan on replacing the motor, or is the drive gear on the motor replaceable?
Also, any reason to replace the guide set if the...
This morning I tried tilting my sunroof open. It opened, then the motor started sounding like it was skipping or jumping gears. After that, every button seemed to have a mind of its own. I eventually got the roof closed, but now the controls are all mixed up:
“Slide Close” opens the tilt...
Thanks. I pulled it apart. Sure enough I didn’t seat the inner race deep enough. It’s still tight but I have the shim kit with different thickness shims.
I’m doing a full front overhaul on my 03lx. New wheel bearings/spindle flange/calipers/rotors.
I set my new bearing inner races to what seemed like they were fully seated. However, now that I’m trying to put the snap ring on the spindle insnt out far enough to engage the snap ring. I can see...
Thanks for the input everyone. I think I have the last parts on order to do the job.
I'm basically replacing everything except the hub:
OEM Rotors
OEM Calipers
OEM Pads (with springs/shim kit/pins/more springs...)
Koyo bearings & Seals
OEM Spindle Flange/Axle nut/Washer/nuts/cone...
I'm preparing to do a full brake job/front bearing replacement. I have new calipers/pads/rotors and am putting together the parts list of pins/spring/etc. Is a shim kit a necessary part of the brake job?
I’m currently running an OME medium‑weight 2.5" lift on my 2003 LX470 with about 80K miles on the setup. I’m considering upgrading the shocks to Dobinsons MRRs and swapping the rear springs for their variable‑rate option.
My question is: to maintain my current ride height, should I go with the...
I put a fan on the floorboards overnight and that seemed to clear the lights issue. So now it’s just a matter of resealing.
I do have the metal screws instead of rivots that the previous owner put in. I did coat everything fairly well with silicone before I had installed the new plastic...
