I had the dreaded water on the drivers side floor. I believe the water is coming in from the lower LH corner of the windshield. Today though, before I could add any sealant, it rained and I noticed some lights on the dash (parking brake, vac off, vac trac, abs). Is it possible that this is caused from some water damage or something that shorted out? any help would he appreciated.

May or may not be related. Pulling DTC (codes) would be my first step. Drying out would be second.

Water, doesn't travel up above its level, unless force to. Make sure to check if all 4 rivets in place in side molding and side molding sung up tp A pillar.

I put a fan on the floorboards overnight and that seemed to clear the lights issue. So now it’s just a matter of resealing.

I do have the metal screws instead of rivots that the previous owner put in. I did coat everything fairly well with silicone before I had installed the new plastic covers. I’ll pull that cover off and inspect and reseal if needed.

Thanks for the feedback

Sometimes, installers' drill new holes, leaving factory holes open. If side molding doesn't line up properly. Or I see anything I don't like with side molding. I remove them, and fill holes with 3m Windshield Butyl.

A good clue to side molding alignment. Is lip at roof rain gutter.

So, I actually had the exact same problem. Check your headliner on the passenger side up front. Thats usually where the water comes in at from a bad install or corrosion along the seal. It will drip down the pillar and on top of all the electronics behind the glove box.

Mine started leaking and it took me about 2 weeks to find a person who would touch the windshield, I had all the same problems you had plus a few others. In the end I now have a bad temp gauge (pretty sure its just the connection), and a battery draw that kills my battery after about a week of sitting.

After you check the headliner, remove the glove box and the black plastic behind it. See if any water is running down the cables going to the computers.
