I just put a bumper and winch on the other day and was adjusting my torsion bars to bring the height back up to "pre bumper". I noticed my rear heights are different from each other, the passenger side rear is 1" lower than the driver side rear. I assumed that the springs my have sagged differently over 100K miles. I had already ordered some new Dobinson Variable rate springs and just installed them last night.

The original OME springs were both the same length, and the vehicle still has the 1" difference with the new Dobinson springs.

Is this anything to worry about?

*non AHC, OME torsion bars, dobinson shocks & rear springs. No major weight in the rear cargo area.*

Usually the drivers side is sitting lower, I’d check to make sure everything is installed correctly first. Once you’ve confirmed that you can add the appropriate thickness coil spacer to the low side.

Gas tank side rides higher to accommodate the weight
Thanks guys. I just filled up my tank this morning, and it's now sitting slightly lower than the passenger side. All of my measuring was originally done on an almost empty tank. All makes sense now.
