No pics to share, but I've had both a yakima skybox 12 and 16 mounted with stock LX rails. If you slide the crossbars as far forwards as they go and the mounting feet as far back, you should have just enough clearance to still open the tailgate. You do get a little bit of a diving board effect...

I have the Bilstein 6112s so just the spring it comes with. And I'm on the 5th perch which is advertised as 2.6" lift iirc. LC stock height may differ slightly to LX, but my stock measurements were about 19.5" center hub to edge of fender. I sit at just under 22" now with the current setup.
