Another great video focused on Aero and MPG.

Explains why a buddy's Titan with max mods - poking 35s, big RTT above the cab, and aggressive things hanging all over can't get over 180 miles per tank.

Definitely the lift + skids/changes to the factory plastics underneath changed my mileage the most. More than bigger tires by far considering even im still tucked in at stock offset.

In fact that reminds me I’ve been putting off trimming up the left and right pork chops and reinstalling them.

I was surprised how relatively little lift and large (and narrow) tires affected MPG at only 4.6%? I presume this was just his aero analysis that didn't take into consideration rolling resistance of R/T tires? And much impact there was from poke at at 13.6%. I do wonder if that poke is mitigated by fender flares?

My 37s are within the aero profile of the body by design, but as I'm looking to widen the track for sidehill stability, makes me go hrmmm.

I've heard the skids have have improved aero and MPG. Is it that signficant and noticeable?

I didn’t change anything else at the time and noticed a significant and repeatable mileage gain from the slee skid system when I installed it. Not quite 2mpg but more than 1.

Other people posted that they noticed the same thing.

Pork chops? Sounds a lot like someone who has owned an E39.

I’ve been getting 12mpg on the highway forever. Skids didn’t matter, whether factory, asfir, or slee

lx 570 on stock20'' wheels with larger toyo open country rt trail SL / 115 load index tires (275/60/r20) (33")

just hit the mythical 18mpg going to/from copper mountain this weekend

nervous to see the mpg hit when i put on the crossbars and RTT 😅

For any of these mpg discussions the fuel blend and grade (and driving speed) needs to be considered for apples to apples comparison.

Ethanol content, octane rating and speed skew the mileage more than tire size or type, lift, roof rack, etc (for me anyways?)
