    Media GX460 / Prado150 pic thread

I also have a Fit that I autocross and daily drive, such a fun little bulletproof car.

GX460 front rotor and pad selection

It's anecdotal from one person...who knows what the real story is, a lot of people buy products from unlicensed vendors like Amazon so they can save $2.34. Amazon is notorious for comingling parts from legit and scam vendors so the counterfeit parts get lumped in with legitimate parts and of...

GX460 front rotor and pad selection

I run Hawk HPS 5.0 pads in both my vehicles, my GX and my autocross/daily driver. Never had a problem with them and the braking performance improvement I noticed on the GX is very significant. It's the only pad I'll use.

    TPMS Replacement

I'm a big fan of the Autel 1 Sensors, they can be programmed for 315mhz or 433mhz. They last a long time, I can clone sensor IDs if I want to have a second set of wheels/tires. I change out my own TPMS, I bought a cheap chinese 40 dollar bead breaking tool on amazon and it works perfect and...

285/70/17 (33") tire in stock GX460 undercarriage spare position

It was the Nokian Outpost nAT, now it's the Destination AT2. I also have the KDSS drop spacers and noticed that somehow I got an extra few mm of space when I swapped the sway bar bushings to superpro bushings. That was a head scratcher

285/70/17 (33") tire in stock GX460 undercarriage spare position

My 285/70R17 is fully inflated in the spare area but I'm running the 4Runner hitch

285/70/17 (33") tire in stock GX460 undercarriage spare position

Yeah, I think I'm at 2.5" of lift in the rear, I did have to trim the bumper valance to use the 4runner hitch but I installed it without removing the bumper cover. It was a pain in the butt because I have large hands, use a ratcheting long reach flex head wrench.

285/70/17 (33") tire in stock GX460 undercarriage spare position

Also rocking a 285/70R17 Nokian Outpost nAT tire in my spare area. I had to switch to a 5th gen 4runner hitch. Before that, even when I removed the Curt 5k GX 460 hitch it didn't fit because of the Lexus mounting plate protruding into the spare well area. The 4Runner hitch mounts directly on the...

285/70/17 (33") tire in stock GX460 undercarriage spare position

Been running a JW offroad tire carrier for a while now, just wanted to let people know since that BFG KO2 is kind of misleading, it's nowhere near an actual 33" tire

285/70/17 (33") tire in stock GX460 undercarriage spare position

BFG KO tires are notoriously small for the size for anyone else wondering....my 285/70R17 Nokian Outpost nAT won't fit even without the hitch mount

    Trans Cooler mount from Kaon

I tried the Kaon mount because I didn't know about the mountain pass off road, it's not meant for the GX, I had to modify it significantly and it's a compromise. I actually just found out about the goliath off road bracket which is a bit cheaper than mountain passes so I may try that one.

    Big Country Drawers installed

Are you saying he got rid of the storage and tool tray in the barn door panel? If so that's gonna be a no from me dog

    Big Country Drawers installed

Here's how I wound up doing it, cut a notch out of both sides that were exactly the same, flipped the cutout to the opposite side and reversed it and installed it with some angled aluminum and rivets, Works perfect and now the dobinson's drawers work with the bison gear table. Very happy with...

Sound dampening and 3rd row delete

I used Siless hybrid 3 in 1 and noticed a significant improvement. Butyl alone will not really help, I believe that is really for dampening vibrations.

Engine and Transmission housing cracks - '22 GX

Save your dealer the trouble and just go look at any other GX out there and you'll see the same casting marks. Every car I've ever owned has had them, and they just get more pronounced when the aluminum inevitably oxidizes. Or, take it to the dealer for peace of mind but if you're not going to...
