    Who’s here using skid plates?

I like the ASFIR Aluminum Skid plates... They seem to be strong yet still light. I did take a file to all of the edges as they were very sharp when they came in from the factory. Took about a half hour per plate but they are nice and smooth on the edges and I don't worry about slicing myself...

Is there a CAD model I can download of the interior shape of the ash tray cavity?

That sounds interesting... Can you post a photo of a screenshot of what you have developed?

Insurance just totaled my LX. Not sure what to do now.

I was able to get more extensive body repair done by telling my insurance that the car is worth more to me than their estimate and I did not want a salvage title. They eventually paid for all of the body work... Over $8k... Got forced off a dirt road and slid into a small ditch and rubbed up...

    DIY: Telescoping Column Motor Removal/Repair

Were you able to figure out a way to "Grease" the steering column bushing? I noticed that the original grease hardens over time and I think the restriction of movement is what causes the telescoping motor to burn out.

Doing all the tamest stuff in Death Valley - what do I need?

I've been visiting Death Valley from the Bay Area since 1980 and I almost always enter the park through Ridgecrest. We usually drive down over Tehachapi Pass and then spend the first night at Trona Pinnacles. That way you get an early start driving into Panamint Valley after topping off your gas...

Doing all the tamest stuff in Death Valley - what do I need?

Sorry about that... Fixed the video. That silt bed is treacherous and fills everything with the finest silt you've ever seen. My friend said he removed 60 pounds of the stuff out of his under carriage after returning to the Bay Area! Saline Vally road is the main road and as such, Inyo County...

Doing all the tamest stuff in Death Valley - what do I need?

We just did this route from South to North a couple of weeks ago. The graded road from Big Pine Road to Eureka Dunes Dry Camp is wide and easy. After that, it is much more difficult. The "DEEP SAND" area is actually a 3-foot to 4-foot deep silt bed that is almost like driving through water. It...

    Phone Mount LX 470

I made my own insert for the tape deck using 3/8" black ABS. I attach the Otterbox Belt clip to that and the phone just snaps right in. Been using it for almost 4 years now without any problems.. Here is the link with photos and drawing on ih8mud: What have you done to your 100 Series this week...

Media The MUD 100 series Photos thread

We camped the first night at Afton Canyon and drove the Mojave Road west stopping at a lot of cool places along the way. We turned right on Kelso Road and went all of the way to Jackass Canyon before heading out Kelbaker to Baker for gas, continue onto Cima, the Death Valley Mine and to Thomas...

    GROM VLine2 vs ___

I find that checking and downloading updates keeps the GROM working the best. Whenever I notice glitches... I check for the updates. The unit isn't perfect but it is a ton better than stock.

    LX470 Glass Headlight Lens Replacement

I bought OEM Glass front headlights directly from a LEXUS Dealership. These are stock for the early years of the LX470 but they fit perfectly in the later years. Mine now sport the way brighter oversized LED projector beams.

Let’s see your white 100 series!

I paid a local Vehicle Wrap shop to do it. They had a great selection of adhesive vinyl to choose from.
