TOYOTA PIC OF THE DAY POST

I would love to help this dude out but I just got home an hour ago and heading out again in the morning. I don't get anything done at shops so not even any help there. The only guy I know that I would trust with my junk likely has at least a 2 week wait but he could try Wayne at Competition...

TOYOTA PIC OF THE DAY POST

Saw this camperized 80 series a few days ago. North of Blue River on our way home after our paddle trip on Murtle Lake. I think I have seen this or at least a picture, somewhere before.

Glad I could help. I did make them from scratch. It was a PITA! That should answer your question on making another set. :grinpimp: I wanted to them to look as original as I could but in reality if all you want is function then I think 2 inch C channel would do the job just fine and be much simpler.

Figured this old thread needed a bump. Finally finished the my 1977 45 project (red one) and put them both in a local car show.

The poly mounts are Energy suspension. I'm sure I had a picture of the part number but haven't found it so far. When I was looking the Toyota replacement was NLA and the Energy suspension kit worked well.

    Record slowest build?

Took both trucks to a car show in the very small community of Bear Lake, about 45 minutes north of me, today. The original owner of the red truck, who passed away in 2007 was originally from Bear Lake and there were a number of locals with stories that remember this well known character and his...

    Tailgate Construction

Thanks on the bumper. I figured it was pretty unlikely I would get a flat so I put a notch in the bumper behind the license plate and it's only takes a minute to take it off. The reflectors I found on e bay about 9 or 10 years ago. They are for a Yamaha motor cycle if I remember correctly. They...

    Tailgate Construction

Yes on the chain hook welded on from the factory. I bought one of Alteq's tail gates a number of years ago for my 1977 45. It's pretty much a pavement princess though and I won't be using that truck for heavy work or driving it in the winter so didn't weld the hook on or put on any seam...
