Issue found - Was a loose earth connection on the PCB blue sheet at the back of the cluster. Seems it pulled away from the housing (old age and heat would be the culprit). Now I just need to find a permanent fix :)

I am having a strange issue with my instrument gauges on my LJ78. It all starter after my alternator failed and blew the main fuse link on the battery. Finally got everything sorted today just to find my fuel gage and temp sensor is not working, including the hand brake light is continually on...

Thank you @GTSSportCoupe and @Rigster Problem was traced to a faulty alternator. After the last water crossing, I think this may have damaged the alternator... It was okay for about 3000km though :)

I finally got to replacing my engine mounts, but on my first test drive a fuse link popped (battery terminal - black to white). Got the new fuse link in today, but there is a nasty short. Started disconnecting my ignition switch and alternator, but still no luck. I have removed all the fuses...

I have a question with regards to replacing the engine mounts on my LJ78 | 2LTE. Do I need to remove the mounting bracket (4 bolts) indicated with the red arrow from the engine or is removing the 3 bolts enough to remove the mount? Are there any other considerations I need to consider before...

After checking every sensor and cable, I thought it was time to check error codes. Should have done it first! I found my diagnostic port dethatched and filled with water. My bad as I never attached it correctly to the bracket when I changed the head. After a quick blow out - all is good :)

Is this the part number? 89411-28030 You may need to phone a few wrecking yards or places stocking Toyota spares for this one.
