I do believe that they offer head rest etc but I didn't need them. I'm no expert on leather - time will tell if these wear OK.

I'm telling you two front seats took all damn day. The second seat took about 2 1/2 hours.

    How to Tighten Body Mounts

Does anyone know what Toyota calls body mounts? I'm searching thru the factory repair manual to no avail.

I finished the front seats. Ended up buying from USAutoseatnation.com I am very pleased with the quality and the results. The fit was perfect and the color match is spot on. If you do it yourself, budget a whole day for the two front seats and spring for an assortment of hog clips of various...

DIY transmission “poor man’s” ATF flush - writeup?

In did a drain and fill two weeks ago. About 3 ½ quarts. Oil analysis came back bad with recommendation to exchange all fluid. I’m doing that as I write this. The mighty vac is the best $139 ever spent.

New OEM shocks going in...What else?

I just did mine 2001 (134,000) all around, together with sway bar links, control arm bushes, etc. The rear shocks were OEM from 24 years ago and completely rusted. Hard to get a wrench on up there and get any grunt on it. So, I used a 2 1/2" hole saw. Bought rubber plugs from Amazon to fill...

What's the difference b/t more and less expensive OEM shocks?

I just replaced the shocks on my 2001, along with sway bar links, and trailing arms etc. The shocks were OEM from 24 years ago and the top nut on the rears were really seized. Carbon steel + 24 years + road salt = welded on. It is really difficult to get a wrench on those top nuts. soooo...

    Seat recovering

I’ve had my new to me 100 a few weeks now. I’ve had it on the lift most of that time, going through it bolt by bolt. Complete underbody Dry ice blast, rust converter and paint, timing belt replacement (along with everything that goes with that) heater hose Ts, serviced everything… the shocks...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Drove it off the lift for the first time. I bought a 2001 (my first Cruiser) about two weeks ago. 134,000 miles. In really nice condition and well maintained. The timing belt had never been changed, which was odd to me given all the other PM work that had been done. So, I jumped in. I...

Combine Timing belt + radiator replacement?

We use a wet shop vac and usually get most of the coolant out of the water jackets.

Go "all the way" and replace the FAN BRACKET with a timing belt, water pump, tensioner service on engines with over 200,000 miles.

I was reading the shop manual and saw where the starter was located and thought WTF? Then I figured it was to keep it out of the water. And it is re-buildable. The more I learn about these rigs the more I like them.

This "creeper" just showed up and I'm telling you it is a game-changer.
