Im thinking of getting some steel wheels for my 100, just basic black steel. will they make a big difference in fuel and performance?

Did you notice any rougher of a ride or more fuel consumption?I have switched everything over the steel wheels.
Tundra silver steel wheels are heavy compared to the black "spare" wheel for Tundra. I have run those for a bit and also a 17" from UAE
I didn't until this year. Lol.. it's crazy that my lifted 04 gets better gas mileage than my stock 14..No but I don’t watch fuel mileage
Not too crazy. Your ‘14 should have the 5.7 V8 vs a 4.7 V8. Bigger and more umph, thusly, more sipping. My ‘14 Tundra is lighter than my ‘00 LC and is in 2WD 90% of the time, but gets roughly 3 less MPG.I didn't until this year. Correct. As the 100 requires hub centric wheels, the hub opening is critical.verify the offset and center hub opening before you commit
Good catch. Yes, the stock alloys use flat-seat lug nuts, while many steelies use conical-seat. The thread will be the same but don't assume you can reuse your originals.I also seem to recall someone say something about Steel Wheel specific lugs? Someone else can chime in and correct me, but I thought that was what I read while looking into them.
I have steelies on both of my off road rigs. For my 100, I opted for Tundra wheels. Plain black steel. They are heavier than aluminum, for certain. When aired down, the narrower rim edge can cut a sidewall if the you hit a rock just right (wrong). Adding to unsprung weight has an impact on braking and acceleration. FYI- I have ordered aluminum wheels for my Rubicon and my son has told me he wants to do the same for the LC100. Photo is as the rigs are set up now.Im thinking of getting some steel wheels for my 100, just basic black steel. will they make a big difference in fuel and performance?
Where did you end up picking these up? And what size? TIAI have switched everything over the steel wheels.
