I picked up my 2000 cruiser last year on bringatrailer from a seller in Colorado. I assume this rig has been seen on this site before. I was going to build an FJ80 for years, but when this truck was offered I realized that I can save a few years of building and start driving right away. It has more stuff in it than I need, such as a big Dometic fridge and a roof tent (my dog doesn't like the idea of sleeping up there), but it checks all the main boxes I wanted checked (lockers, lift, winch, rack, dual tanks, solar panel, dual batteries, etc.
I am most likely going to sell the tent (Roofnest Sparrow XL) and the Dometic fridge, as I mostly use the truck to travel to destinations where I then park it and hike out into the wildness, rather than camp at the vehicle. I need my cooler to fit into a bear locker where I leave the truck behind, or it'll be inspected by some big hairy critters that are known to break into trucks for things that smell good.
