Yes the inspector recommended to stamp the number under the tongue in case the sticker he put on falls off or is removed. I put two rivets to make it more secure.
I took my homemade teardrop trailer to California DMV in Ventura today and got it registered and received the plates. Since detailed information is not easy to find on the process, I’m posting it for reference.

I cut the pipe underneath right after the bend. Then I pushed it up with a wire. Then use a gas hose and 2 worm clamps to connect it back.
First try using a wire and put a small hook on the end and try to fish it out.
I’m going back to stock OEM side mirrors on my 1983 FJ60. I got the mirrors but having a hard time finding gaskets.
Question - Does the OEM mirrors have gaskets? If so, where can I get some? I just cut some out of a rubber sheet in the meantime.
