Yes I had it out before and oiled and worked it back and forth. Maybe need to soak with PB blaster as JohnnyC suggests to loosen up any rust. It does move but with some resistance. Then when I install it with the curve bend to the carb, it’s gets more stiff. The carb choke moves easily so it’s...
The choke cable on my 74 FJ40 is sticking and very tight no matter what I do to it. From my research, 72-75 had the same cable and they are NLA. City racer sells one that fits 1976-1980 models.

I installed 1/2 box of Kilmat in the cargo area over the original molded deadener. Put some foam behind the side panels. I did not put any in the passenger or drivers sections because the original molded deadener was still good.

Thanks! For the shifter holes, remove both sticks and lay in the carpet. Once in place, cut the holes using the metal edge as the guide. Remove the carpet and install the sticks and boots. Then put in the carpet and pull rubber boots through into place.
Just finished installing the carpet kit. Looks awesome! I am very impressed with the fit and quality. I got the additional floor mats and they look great.
Thanks dnp for an outstanding product!
