It definitely needs 1/2 imch and that puts it close to the header and also the shock tower.

I did this but plated the original hole

I swapped my shifter linkage over like in this video but haven't don't the cable/rod yet. I also welded a plate where the shifter linkage went through the tunnel to try and reduce mud and dust coming into the cab.

Yeah I got some nice speed engineering 304 stainless headers so beating them up before they've even been used nearly brought a tear to my eye 😆. I think I'll shim the box and see how it goes. Thanks for your input!!!

Just put my new headers in and it's up against the steering shaft! What's the best option here, shim the steering box over 1/2 inch and adjust all the steering linkage which im told might cause bump steer! Or bash my new stainless headers in a bit 🤦🏻

How much room do you have between the passenger side head and the firewall? I'm at 8-10mm clearance! Thanks
