I'm in search of black-finished Toyota replacements. Anyone know if these will fit a 70 series: 69210-89108? An aftermarket version which cross-references this number seems to indicate it will. https://www.amazon.com/1984-1988-69210-89108-69220-89108-6921089108-6922089108/dp/B0DKDZFJBW
Anyone have experience using 3M Windo-Weld ribbon for the butyl tape component?:

I can't decide between 8mm (5/16") or 9.5mm (3/8") thickness options. Manual states 9mm. Any recommendations? I'm worried that the 9.5mm would be too much to establish...
Mine is cropped a bit more and is for model years 93 and newer. It shows how the "62761A" weatherstrip above is superseded by a weatherstrip which is only about 1/4 of the old length. This is the mystery. Here it is again to compare:
I still don't understand why the superseding part is so much shorter... 55cm is about 1/4 of the full length needed. Parts suppliers have it priced at $20 - still a lot when you need 8 of them. I will likely go the caulk/sealant route.
The part Cruiserparts wants to sell to replace the NLA weatherstrip (62793-90K00 RH, 62794-90K00 LH) is 62793-60010.
The 62793-60010 weatherstrip is the successor for 1993-1999 BJ73s with FRP top. Megazip says it's 55cm long. Why is it so short?? Here's a diagram which checks out based on the...
Could you share the bolt-to-bolt dimensions (mounting point spacing to suspension assembly)? I have a BJ73 w/suspension seats and am trying to figure out cross-compatibility of planted's newly released suspension bracket. Thanks!
I have the same (90404-10018). I removed mine, cleaned it, and am reinstalling soon. Should I be applying any sealant to this style of breather union? It's not tapered thread so it begs the question...
Cover shipping and it’s yours! This is the original windshield and frame from my ‘89 BJ73. Good amount of rust on the bottom. One crack in bottom left corner of glass, never bothered me driving.
A brand new 24V Sankei oil pressure sender burned up two gauges in my '89 BJ73. After finding a 3rd gauge (that was difficult!), I stopped taking chances and replaced the Sankei with an OEM Toyota sender. No problems ever since.
I'm still not 100% sure of the culprit... Had my first two gauges...
FWIW, just discovered I can charge both batteries simultaneously with a standard 12V charger / tender. All I do is hook it up over the second battery in series and the equalizer takes care of the rest! Big help as the cruiser sees more garage time in the winter.
