What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

Did the cabin air filter yesterday and today on my ‘07. Not difficult but a pain to clean 22 years and 153,000 miles of crap off the condenser using a tooth brush and forceps

    OEM or Aftermarket?

Going through this myself. @ClassyJalopy recommended Partsouq.com for OEM parts very reasonable. My local Toyota dealer quoted me just over $400 for the lower arm assembly - Partsouq had the OEM assembly for $274 IIRC. In my situation that may be the best solution, just remove the original...

'80 - '87 Large Cap Distributor Vent Question

There is a plastic grid that covers the squirrel cage in the blower assembly. This is inside on the firewall below the glove box.

    Electronic distributor

'77 FJ40...Rebuilt from frame up including total drive train and engine. Had what I thought was a Petronix but now find out it is not. Red with a lid that covers the ignition wires coming out the top. Have not been able to get reliable and smooth engine. Just installed new Live Wire spark...

    Part Seldom Seen

Don't know the part number but I cut one out of some 1/8" rubber and used a spot of silicone to hold it on. Works just fine.

    2006 landcruiser steering

Wide tires and asphalt roads with the worn "ruts" where all the vehicles drive will cause your vehicle to want to climb out of the ruts either left or right depending on which side the front end happens to be up against. Could be something else but my 40 wanted to do that until I got everything...

    Welcome to Veterans' Highway!

Welcome Bisho and DetroitDarin. Thanks for your service. So Bisho, I know you're not the third from the left but the others all look young to me. My guess is the one in all the battle rattle on but no one looks old. I flew Cobras and wore the vest, ceramic plate and .38 in a belt holster...

    Official FRIDGE Thread

Are you guys pulling your power for refers from the power socket on the side of the cargo compartment? Just read the thread about the fuseable links and I wonder if any issues arise from use of the refers back there.

    Steering wonders after alignment

If lifted then add shims to correct the geometry, X2 on steering wheel play. I corrected mine by tightening the steering box to take the play out of the pittman arm and then giving it several pumps of grease. Again, the FSM is your friend on trouble shooting and correcting any issues. Mine...

2007 LC, 100 series navigation or lack thereof

The nav in my newly acquired LC thinks it is in Washington DC and I can't get it to even locate itself. Have read some posts on here about the same issues. The DVD for updating the nav is $155 at the local dealer. Problem is the latest update to that data base is 2013 I think he said due...
