I did the same thing this summer driving from Telluride to AZ. Let it vent slowly for about 5 minutes and then slowly added. This still happens after warm, long highway trips. I installed a NOS OEM canister last year and didn’t really help.
I just bought a replacement set of Weathertech. My old version did exactly what you described. The new ones have a plastic screw that goes into your carpet. I’ve had them in for ~1500 miles and I really like them. The mats do not move around at all.
That is good to hear. I was not very kind to these tires. I was lax on rotations, did not include the spare and ran at lower pressures more often than I should have. I really do like these tires. They perform so well in the rocky/loose shale trails.
