    Possible purchase help

The rust visible in the pictures is substantial. It's a hard pass IMO too.

    Possible purchase help

Living in Wisconsin I've spent some time under my LC removing corrosion from the previous owner. The area most affected in my experience is above / behind the spare tire. Have the seller drop the spare and send pictures of those areas. That has typically been my litmus test relative to rust...

    200 series un-findable front clunk....HELP!!!!

I experienced something similar on my way back from Oregon last year. Creaking sound when breaking in reverse. Felt it in the steering wheel, and was audible even with the windows up. Made it back to Wisconsin and found that the upper alignment bolt / cam had fallen out. I had a local shop...

    Sludge under oil cap, help!

I too have seen this before. In my case it was due to the exceptionally short drive I have to the office. Once I get it out on the highway or up to full temperature it goes away. Looks to be just condensation mixed with oil. Nothing to worry about in my case.....

    Radar cruise control question

On the bright side, KM are about a third of mph relative to their increments - so the resolution you have is much better than MPH fwiw.

    Opinions/Input on HE Purchase

IMHO cars are a depreciating asset outside of exotics, and hoping or planning for little to no correction as a basis for purchase is (again, my opinion) flawed. If money is no concern, buy the nicest model you can locate / afford. OR Unless you're in the position of having to buy something...

    Headlight jiggle

Mine started as soon as I lifted it. I'm guessing the stiffer ride accentuated the issue??

Hoping to buy a LC200 in the next few days. A few questions..

Would also check the KDSS screws and make sure they are not seized up.....

Are frozen KDSS valves a deal breaker when purchasing

I bought mine used (2014) last year and the KDSS screws were stuck. I employed a hand impact driver to get them freed up, and packed them with grease to prevent further issues. If set on purchasing that specific unit, use the stuck screws as a negotiating point.....

    Who Installed Your Suspension?

I lifted my IFS GMC, as well as a 1972 Blazer and 2002 Cummins. I didn't have access to a lift and paid a local Toyota shop to lift my LC - cost was 1300 which included UCA, Panhard and alignment.

How good is your gas mileage?!

Just drove from Minneapolis to SLC, then Vegas and finally Yuma (AZ) - and back. It seems that wind and octane have the most impact on mileage in my experience. I saw MPG ranging from 11 - 15.5. My LC is lifted 3" with 33" KM3 tires and Icon wheels.

Thanks for the reply and info. I’m hoping the springs settle some over the coming miles. Merry Christmas everyone!

IRONMAN 4x4 Foam Cell PRO vs TOUGH DOG 40mm Bore 9 way Adjustable Shock

Just installed the fcp stage 3 on my 2014 with 130k. I too am surprised at the amount of lift, and now the angle of the front CV joints. Been reading the diff drop vs no diff drop threads without any clear resolution or direction. Normally I’d take a wait and see approach - but I’m driving to...

    Correcting a KDSS lean

I too have a lean on my 2014 (130K) - left front lower than right front by roughly 1". Was able to get the KDSS screws open and lifted the drivers side with a floor jack, then tightened the screws. Lean was gone for a few days, then returned. I have a lift on order with shocks, springs and UCA's...
