There's much debate in the auto maintenance world about which is better protection for engines: Lower W viscosity which will flow faster at start up, or higher W viscosity which may protect better due to weight. I've never seen a definitive research answer from a lab, just mechanic opinions.

Is there any knowledge (actual knowledge) out there about changing to synthetic or blends after 30 years of conventional oil?

Buzzes when the key is in the ignition. Does anyone know where the relay/whatever that is located? Or any other means of turning off that awful buzz?

I've upgraded the stereo thanks in large part to info on this site. I disconnected the factory amp there to the right of the glove box. How do I remove that amp? And how do I access the in-dash factory tweeters to replace them? (The low ones that are like seat-level high).

Thanks for your reply. I already have the door panels off (successfully with no damage LOL) because I'm replacing the speakers and window runs. Of course, I already searched ih8mud, youtube, and the net at large for pics or videos of replacing the inner window felts on an 80 but I had no luck...
