Am I mistaken, or shouldn't the passenger side front left seat bracket be welded to the body? If not, how does that attach? Mine is not bolted to the body.

From what I can gather, the 74 will line up with all the frame mounts. I gather the holes will also line up with my oem seat brackets, tranny cover, roll bar. Is that correct? The dash will be a little different as it doesn't have the seatbelt light and the defrost vent holes on each side...

Thank you for posting this info. Maybe this has been answered and I missed it, but from the pics it looks like there aren't any threads for the spare tier carrier is that correct? If there is, is there the backer plate welded in place to support the load like on the OEM tub? If not I can just...

Top of the photo, above the tow hook holes. One on each side. I have looked at some other stock photos and haven't seen them on others (and the bolts aren't stock). Any ideas?

1978. I know I'm missing the VSV, but it looks like I have a ABV, which is sometimes removed during de-smogging? I'm not really a mechanic, but I'm always wanting to learn. I'd like to know how my 40 was de-smogged, what is missing, what they did, etc. just to make sure I'm not overlooking...

Good to hear. I think people are more than happy to wait an extra month or two if it means getting backing plates, captive nuts, roll bar supports, etc. Thanks for at least listening to our feedback! Also, can I buy just the rear hardtop brace? The piece that adjoins the two top sides...

Tim, will the -78 tubs come with the spare tire carrier backer plates? How about the roll bar supports? I think you said previously that the holes would not be pre-drilled/tapped, is that correct?
