I have 2009 LX. Until few days back my A/C was ice cold. My kids were complaining that it's too cold. I was bragging about it being a quality of LX. Next day boom, the A/C went out. No cold air. I had to take it dealer thinking that I may need to recharge my AC. But dealer hit me with $925 bill...
I got an estimate for $670 to replace A/C pressure switch which is supposed to fix the leak I was told. Then $220 for ac recharge. This is at Lexus dealership. I needed a car for the weekend so I had to cave in because I got the loaner.

I know how stressful these days are... Particularly looking at stock markets, mortgages etc etc. Wish you the best! Wishing everyone the best for a hot summer, and virus free days!

For LXs, I suppose they (dealers) are calling and scheduling the work. My local Lexus dealer called me and setup an appointment. They did in first appointment under 45 minutes. So far that was good. End of story-1.
Later I realized that they replaced my gray belt with a black one. Story-2...
Isn't the extra time required, parts not available, loaner cars and multiple appointments for simple fixes - a way to entice you to look at the new blingy late model cars, make you slowly dislike your old beater (however great looking it is for you) and increase your desire to trade in for a...
