So since this thread got bumped, does anyone know where you can get a diff drop currently? That ebay link doesn't work anymore and other suppliers I've checked either say not available or have sketchy details that make it hard to trust it's the right parts.
We might want in on that action in an RV spot.
Am I understanding correctly that the plan is all day trips that end up back in town everyday? I’d be coming with a wife and young kids who might not want to come along everyday.
It really does lumber in stock form. Stiffer springs/shocks (TD), better brakes (DBA) and an intake/exhaust (aFe/Gibson) woke mine right up though. Hauls a$$, flat in turns, brakes hard and confidently. Feels more like our old X5 than an LC.
Wow, you must have a hell of a welder and a high level of confidence with it to go to the trouble to weld and drill that drop shank vice buying a new one. What are they, $90?
I think that's accurate and explained well, but it is worth noting that it doesn't exactly square with the 200 owner's manual. By stating that a weight distribution hitch should be used to return the front axle weight or fender height to the weight/height it had before the trailer was connected...
Just sharing an update on what I ended up with in the Lance since this convo migrated to solar/lithium, etc.. Not depicted in the diagram, I ended up with 510W of solar on the roof, and the 110V side of the inverter is handled by a GoPower TS-30 automatic transfer switch. Stock converter is...
That’s a great idea, and it may come to that, but I just opted out of the 12v $650 factory option and installed a $100 Roku TV myself. If it doesn’t hold up to the shaking and we don’t use it much, I’ll keep your idea in mind.
Ha, no. AFE momentum GT. It pulls from the same place as the stock intake and from an additional scoop that runs up to the lip of the hood. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it. Really let’s the 5.7 rumble (at least) and coupled with the Gibson, people tend to really notice a difference.
Today I picked up the Lance 2185 we ordered a few weeks ago and towed it 90 miles home. Couldn’t be happier with the LC. Plenty of power. Stable. Zero sway, and it’ll get better when I get the WD hitch dialed in. I did most of the usual tow prep, plus a little. Upgraded rotors and pads (DBA)...
Thanks, me too. BTW, Richards RV received my 2185 today. Just came off the line yesterday. Picking it up Friday! Stoked. LC feels completely different. Did DBA rotors and pads all around and running the TDs on 7 firmness and with 8psi in the airbags feels very stable. Went with an equalizer with...
