Hi dog. I used a micrometer to see what size I needed to mill down too. I took my time. I used a drill as a lathe and a rough file initially and then smoothed them out with sandpaper. Then cleaned and greased them. Slid right in. 0 movement now.
I just did that fix last night with the Hillman bushings. Part # 882995 at Lowes. $3.xx a piece. I bought 4 just in case. Got them home, sanded off a little on the ID and cleaned my pin up. Sanded/filed a little off the OD and greased them and they slid right in. My shifter is solid now...

I did use some air tool oil in the channels this weekend and it shot some life back into those old channels. Has anyone ever tried the channels from OC auto carpets? They're online. Looks like they sell front and back window seals. They also have carpet kits for the cruiser. Just curious...
Revived again. I'm guessing all the rear window rubber seals are discontinued on the trusty 89 FJ62? I've found a source for the front doors weather-strip and the inner door piece. But I am having a lot of trouble finding a semi-affordable rear door solution. My windows are rolling down...
