    Yota1 Gasket kit

Just recall we are in the post de minimus exemption era..... It is not the duties that will get you, it is the tack on handling fees.

    LSVP

I have every reason that I bled mine for the first time since the production line. Fluid was black, no trace of any wetness under the rubber boot. Seems to me to be fairly trouble free device unless the actuating rod is moved or lift altered.

While You’re At It: Front brakes

One on my smaller regrets was not painting the remans right out of the box. It is so much easier to keep painted calipers clean.

While You’re At It: Front brakes

The remans are pretty much a bargain out of Ourisman in Richmond. If yours are original, it is pretty much a no brainer to place them. Hoses are condition dependent. Once you are that far in, bearings are on the list. Use a 54mm socket, not a farmer's chisel on the big nuts.

80 series - upper oil pan arch seal leak?

IMHO, your source appears too far forward along the engine to be the upper arch seal (though that too may leak). I would clean it best I could and watch for where it re-appears. If you were more impatient than that, I might go ahead and re-seal the lower oil pan. Our really messy leak was the...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Sorta the same as my daughter, years of indifference and then she takes it to a climbing comp in Richmond, VA and is suddenly the coolest kid on the block. She owns it now.

    Highway oil consumption

Ours is in good basic condition. Literally bought by my dad after he retired to get to an from his weekend cabin year round and otherwise garaged. Compression is good, plugs have no sign of oil fouling. 240k miles an I am inclined to keep a couple of quarts of oil in it an run it until other...

    Highway oil consumption

Did you do the valve stem seals with a HG job? Or did you do them with the head on?

    Highway oil consumption

Ok forgive the naivety of this question, what I am hearing you say is that the mechanism of burning this oil is up through the PCV valve into the intake manifold? I am only asking because I am thinking of the cleaning i did this last year.

    Highway oil consumption

https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/help-burning-oil-driving-cross-nebraska.1364144/page-2#post-16035978 I think ours was burning oil most heavily when we got into rolling hills in Colorado. We are still watching things, PCV and EGR seem fine. The new owner, my daughter, has 250 miles on it post...

    Cleaning your sunroof drains FAQ

I have to be honest, I think I made four trips to a body shop that told me they had forgotten more about Toyota windshields than I knew when I handed the a copy of the FSM page with the car. We were concerned with rust forming from a prior Safelite replacement. Each time I had leaks in that...

What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

Sorry, you were not aware. Ourisman or Olathe are the reliable US mail-order shops. My Lexus dealer gives decent discounts as they are an Ourisman affiliate. Part-Souq and Amayana are legit alternatives.
