What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

I present the $28 tailgate! It may not be to everyone's taste, but I wanted a cheap and easy solution to recently going topless and removing the ambulance doors. $23 Heep rollbar hammock and $5 stainless bolt, nut washer combo. Since it's aerodynamic, I'll bet I can get this thing up to 62 or 63. 😜

Painted a flywheel inspection cover I found on ebay (mine was missing) and installed it this morning. It's officially the cleanest part under the 40.

And cleaned the contacts on top of the tank and guess what...my fuel gauge works now! Added 5+ gallons of gas...no leaks in a 20 mile test drive. No gas smell in the cab. Painted the tank cover and will reassemble. Very pleased with a couple of simple fixes!

What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Pulled the passenger seat and tank cover to find a fuel leak. This rubber cover to cap the tank, installed by the PO, was evidently not fuel proof. At least it was a cheap fix.
