I think you were trying everywhere to source a top plate :) and iirc a pic of an old gearbox I had lying around confirmed it was 4 speed so I couldn’t help you? Still got my 42, never had a 2dr Nissan though. Hope you’re well and found that top plate! The seats are bulky and can’t really be...

I located the metal brackets that connect the body to the trim panels, the rear corner seatbelt mounting brackets, and the unobtainable floor latch for the foldaway seat. I’ll post pics soon.

I have for sale the zebra rear bench and jump seats, and the brown plastic interior rear trim, for RHD 83/84 FJ40 and BJ42 LX models. Pictures provide more details, but all items are in general good used condition. Seats - fixed two seater and fold-away single seat, with side armrests, all...

Hey Ben, Sorry for the late reply…..https://1drv.ms/f/s!AuDfPVzAbNZ2hS6YL2eJSsiKUxzq should get you there cheers

When I saw this thread I immediately thought of @Folkert ... he did a superb job on a bj44 resto with tons of details. Search for his posts or - bj44 - https://bj44.wordpress.com/ - I think the pic from GC‘s post above is actually from that website. Both the red and mustard 43’s here just look...

Theo....glad you got her back :)

There is likely some regional variations methinks... my Australian LX doesn’t have fixtures as per the red circle. Not sure if I got the original jack handles complete but they break down and fit in the tool roll. Far less chance of laddering the mother in law’s stockings in the tool roll :)

My LX has the collapsible jack rod, so it fits into the tool bag under the rear bench seat. Problem with fitting a non-LX jack rod is the plastic interior panels and the seats mean you can't fit it to the wheel arches. I have seen some installations of rods behind the front seats.

Hi Folkert, How are you keeping buddy? I can have a look around here for you, happy to help out with the packing..... We need to make sure that 44 gets back in shape :) Cheers, Gary

I'm really not sure about availability of the jack holder....IIRC there was a post in my thread where someone wasn't able to find the part number, no idea if they found the part though.

Thanks, I'm enjoying my LX :) And great to see another LX going to a good home, looks like you're making progress....but keep going it is so worth it. Not sure it was mentioned before but yours must be one of the very last ones made, mine is 02/84. Shout if there is anything I can help with.

The cap and bezel are the same colour as the body on my 033 code LX.

Nice find! I think the MWB's are just great...if you found others on your search I'd be keen to move the wife's car out of the garage and give one a good home :-) Congrats!!

Hey boet.....looking good! I'm enjoying reading through your build - I have a t-shirt that says "'n boer maak 'n plan" - always amazed at the tenacity and ingenuity! Even inspired me to get off my butt and go buy a bottle of klippies... although I'm not sure "Klippies Premium" is really really...
