do you have pics of the mud flaps brackets and where they are mounted? I am still in need of the armrest that mounts to the wall of the top and center seat belt if you ever find another one please let me know, those are the only missing pieces to mine

Rob
Hey Rob,

Here are some pics of a friend's BJ 42 LX - I believe the mud flaps were installed at the time of purchase back in the 80's, they look to be good quality, but I don't know if they are oem fitted to the BJ42LX or if they used mud flaps from another model Toyota.

do you have a pic of where/how the rear seat belts mount?
Thanks
Here are some to give you an idea:
The floor-mounted receivers and lap-belt are bolted to the floor. The configuration you see here is before I stripped her down, I now have the "cabled" receiver bolted to the right of the wide bench seat and it's used to catch the three-point belt from the jump seat

Let me know if you need more detailed pics..

Yes those are the correct parts. I was lucky to find the jack holder during my restoration. I really miss her and wish I could buy her back.

It has been a while since I've checked in on MUD and I'm realising again how much I've missed this place - raising kids, working my butt off, travelling the world... it has been a busy few years.... Although not so much for my little ox wagon :( She gets out of the garage on the occasional sunny day, I need to get the A/C re-gassed for the coming summer months... and while I was underneath doing the oil change I noticed a few things I should start attending to! (hope my lottery ticket comes good, I'd rather keep both my kidneys ;-))

I think I may need to fix my photo albums/links.... and I'll post up a few more photos soon.... for now just saying hello!

Your thread has always been a good read ... But... Makes me jealous every time I do :)

Glad to see you back... Any new literature ?

You had posted a great 84' one... Have seen it show up on other forums after you posted it as well

Welcome back! At least you have your LX still- even if she was a bit dusty. I still regret selling mine to the museum- but a lot of folks have enjoyed it. I'd love to see more pics and new video!

Thanks for the kind words guys :)

@JohnnyC - I think you must be referring to the original brochure and the Overland magazine write-up.... I've renewed my silver star and I must go back through some threads and check links and attachments still work. No new literature unfortunately - I tried a few eBay items over the past couple of years but the prices went above what I was prepared to pay at the time...but I'm a sharing caring kinda guy so I'll stay on the lookout :)

@BTUMAN - I'm sure your baby is enjoying the adoration mate! My LX hasn't changed much but I'll update when I can...

Appreciate the welcome!

So you have this setup (or should have)?.... Circled in red

Odd that I can't find a separate jack holder part (or part number) for the LX.. Perhaps somehow it uses the same holder as the rest of us, but just mounted sideways?

Somebody can confirm the on BJ42LX the jack handle extensions is like in the circled position?

There is likely some regional variations methinks... my Australian LX doesn’t have fixtures as per the red circle. Not sure if I got the original jack handles complete but they break down and fit in the tool roll. Far less chance of laddering the mother in law’s stockings in the tool roll :)

The most wanted 4 wheel drive on earth - Sales Brochure 1984

I picked up this Australia sales brochure a while back, circa 1984. It is a six-page fold-out and has the dealer quote written in pen. If I had $16k and a time-machine......Enjoy.
