Been pouring over them for hours but cannot find this connection and hose … it must be for only the earlier motors because isn’t there based on pics of later model’s manifolds 🤨

I had exactly the same situation with my ‘99 LX … went the route of rebuild kit ($100, couple of DIY hours) and still going strong 4 years later.

Hi All. Whilst replacing tensioner assembly, noticed this “sensor” wasn’t connected. The component attached to the steering pump is rusted quite badly … and the plastic covering of the connection piece is cracked (this hose runs to the manifold). Any help with official name and/or part numbers...

Depends how much it’s sagging … you could try a gasket/rubber rejuvenator but that just makes the rubber more supple, not really shrink it … you could seal with silicon or even 3M’s 5200 but that’s just creating a bigger challenge down the road … short answer = dust off the screwdriver and have...

Note that it has definite forward facing and backward facing orientation. I used a hard plastic scraper to remove old glue/gasket residue from the glass panel before installing the new gasket (the wrong way around it turned out 😖).
