No not at all. Replacing the headunit itself was the easiest part of the whole job. Used same mounting brackets that were on existing aftermarket unit. And metra harness adapter (car specific). Easy peasy.

And I used speedwire (9-wire) to go from new focal amp to the existing truck speaker wires under the passenger seat.
