    Installed Dobinson's 1.75 Inch Variable Rate Suspension Kit: C59 - 222V, C59 223V

While these coils are by far the nicest I've experienced in an 80 (and ive driven alot of different 80 setups), I would like abit more clearence and want to run 37s. Does anyone know what the closest 3" coil would be to the 222/223v combo as far as ride comfort and general characteristics. Thanks

    Brake caliper brain scratcher

Update: they calipers are indeed slightly different before/after 1995. I have got new calipers on and the brake pads now sit where they should.

Should add body roll in mine is about the same as stock. But you could always put a beefier rear swaybar in.

I'm running front arb and winch, roofrack, rear bar with daul swingouts and do some serious offroading. I have never bottomed out my 223/222 combo and pretty sure I've got abit of airtime once or twice. Also have a 20mm spacer in front and this setup is perfect for what I do. Gotta remember it's...

    Brake caliper brain scratcher

So a while ago I got my front calipers, brake pads and rotors replaced on my 1996 80, but have just noticed that a small part of the brake pad is sitting outside the brake rotor (as shown in the attached photos). The rotors are 311mm which is the correct size and brake pads are for "90-"98...

80 series shudder / vibration on acceleration

Did you find out what caused the shudder? I am having same problem but my mechanic thinks it is transmission related.

Anyone happen to be running 35s on -22 offset rims with the 222v/223v combo? Much rubbing? Cheers

Forgot to say, thanks for that info @crikeymike I ended up going with the progressive coils (c59-222v and c59-223v) with the gs59 682 /683 shocks. Ride height is perfect and drives nicely on road, havent been offroad yet but very happy with it so far. Pic of the stock 80: With the new dobinsons:

    Installed Dobinson's 1.75 Inch Variable Rate Suspension Kit: C59 - 222V, C59 223V

Hey guys, Im new to this stuff and 80 series in general and just interested to know if the variable rate coils (c59-222v/c59-223v) will allow for more flex than the linear coils ( c59-166/c59-167), im assuming they probably would? Anyone got any flex pics with these variable coils? Also should...
